Gojek is an Indonesian tech company with an aim to provide financial support to the startups it has started its startup accelerator program named Gojek Xcelerate. As a part of this program 10best startups, ideas are selected among the received applications. The selected startups will get an opportunity to visit a 1-week Bootcamp at Indonesia and further present the detail idea of startup its business model and further plans.
The Gojek Xcelerate programme is organised in association with experts from Gojek, Google Developers Launchpad, Global Management Firm McKinsey & Company, UBS bank and Digitaraya.
The Gojek Xcelerate through its rigorous screening process selected startups and put them in four different batches. We are proud to say that Jiovio made its way and got selected in the 2nd batch, in startups category. There were 10 startups which were selected and placed in the second batch.
We are the startup is working on providing better health assistance to Pregnant women living in rural areas in remote locations. We have designed a real-time health monitoring device based on IOT which can digitally collect and Monitor various vital parameters in Pregnant women living in remote areas. Through this device, we are aiming to reduce Maternal deaths and taking steps to deliver better facilities to the women in remote parts of India.
We got selected & we got an invite regarding a Bootcamp where we should be presenting our business idea pitch. The bootcamp was scheduled from Oct 28 to Oct 31 at Gojek office, Jakarta.
It was a week-long programme including introductory sessions, various coaching and mentoring sessions, networking sessions and Demo day. After we take part in the week-long Bootcamp they guided us with valuable feedback.
The demo day, which was scheduled on Nov 1, at Gojek Office Jakarta. We presented our products (SAVEMOM), business model. The judge’s panel and the investor’s panel was interested in our products as they understood the genuineness behind the Product.
The panel of Judges includes the likes of Annie Luu, General Manager Asia, Investible; Megawaty Khie, Country Head Cloud Indonesia, Google; Nicole Yap, Managing Director, Digitaraya who deliberated throughout the pitch presentation and asked us a different set of questions regarding our product, it’s Business model, future expanding etc.
After detailed deliberations from the judge’s end, they really liked our idea and we Jiovio emerged as winners in the batch 2 of Simona Accelerator APAC Women Founders, GoJek Xcelerate.
